A 23-year-old prisoner died on Monday while in custody at Kailali Jail. Dipak BK, a resident of Ghodaghodi Municipality-4, was incarcerated on extortion charges.
According to District Police Office Kailali, BK was discovered unresponsive in the jail toilet around 3:30 PM. He was immediately rushed to Seti Provincial Hospital for medical attention but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The body has been transferred to the hospital’s mortuary for a post-mortem examination. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding BK’s death.
