The government has announced that tomorrow, Tuesday, will be a public holiday to coincide with the visit of the King of Qatar to Nepal. Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, relayed the decision made during Monday’s cabinet meeting.

Emir (King) of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, is scheduled to arrive in Nepal on Tuesday for a two-day visit. This gesture of declaring a public holiday aligns with Nepal’s tradition of granting holidays on occasions of visits by foreign heads of state.
