Scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected across Nepal today, particularly in Bagmati, Madhesh, Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini regions. There’s a chance of thunderstorms in some Gandaki and Lumbini locations.
Nepal’s Department of Water and Meteorology reports weather influenced by both local and westerly winds, along with a low-pressure system stretching from western Uttar Pradesh to western Bangladesh in India.
Rain showers began this morning across parts of the country, with light rain, thunder, and lightning observed in Bagmati, Madhesh, Koshi, Lumbini, and Karnali regions.
This afternoon, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies in hilly areas of Bagmati, Madhesh, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces. Elsewhere, skies will be partly cloudy with some clearing.

Tonight, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies in the hilly regions of Madhesh, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces. The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to mainly clear skies.
