Bardiya, Nepal: A tragic incident occurred in Bardiya National Park on Friday as a rhinoceros attacked a group of people, resulting in the death of a local guide.
Manmohan Chaudhary, a 36-year-old senior path guide, lost his life after being attacked by a rhinoceros in the Dalla Community Forest, located within the park’s central region. The incident took place around 8-9 AM while Chaudhary was leading a ‘jungle walk’ in the area bordering the park and Division One.
In addition to Chaudhary, two others were injured, including an American citizen. The injured are currently receiving medical treatment at the Bhurigaun City Hospital. The exact extent of their injuries is still being assessed.
The incident highlights the potential dangers of encountering wildlife in protected areas like Bardiya National Park. Despite efforts to ensure visitor safety, such tragic events can occur.
