Kathmandu, Nepal – A section of the road in Kupandole, Kathmandu, collapsed on Saturday afternoon, causing a significant water leak. The incident occurred on the route connecting Kupandole to Pulchowk, specifically in front of Hotel Himalaya.
The sudden water flow has disrupted traffic, affecting both car and motorcycle drivers. Local businesses, particularly those located along the roadside, have also been negatively impacted. The exact cause of the collapse is still under investigation, but it is suspected to be either a burst sewer line or a damaged pipe related to the Melamchi Water Supply Project. The water has flooded the road, creating further inconvenience for commuters and pedestrians.
