Robbers ransack Siraha

A group of armed robbers stormed a house in Golbazar Municipality-1 Muksar Baihiriwan of Siraha district on Monday night, beating the homeowner and making off with thousands of rupees in cash and valuables.

The robbers, numbering between 12 and 15, attacked the home of resident Jageshwar Ram, ransacking the property and stealing 12,000 rupees in cash, as well as gold and silver ornaments. Ram told reporters that the robbers also assaulted him, confiscated his mobile phone, and threatened him with violence before carrying out the robbery.

After the incident, Ram contacted the nearby police station in Muksar, but according to him, the police did not arrive on the scene until 4 a.m. The local police office in Golbazar has since confirmed the robbery and said that they are investigating the matter as a case of general theft. Inspector Sunil Karki, the police chief of Golbazar, stated that there was an incident of theft and that the police are currently looking into the matter.
