Rubén Sellés (Valencia, 1983) continues to make his way in the world of football. English, for more details.

The Spanish coach, who managed Southampton on an interim basis in the Premier League, has signed for Hull City, from the Second Division.

The Valencian arrives from Reading, with whom he had completed an extraordinary job in League One (Tercera). Last season they avoided relegation, despite serious financial problems and having a very young team, and this year they were fighting for promotion: they were sixth.

He won’t have it easy at Hull either. The ‘tigers’ are second to last with 15 points, two away from safety. However, they have gone nine games without a win and five consecutive losses.

Sellés, for his part, has signed a contract for two and a half years – extendable for another year – subject to obtaining a work permit. Reading will also receive compensation.

“I know the team, the club, the history and I am looking forward to starting my journey with the team. I saw many similarities with where we are as technical staff and what we want to do for the present and the future, and that is why I decided to come,” Sellés stressed in his debut.
