Police in Rupandehi have arrested three individuals on suspicion of trafficking brown sugar (brown heroin). Acting on a tip, a joint team from the District Police and Narcotics Control Bureau apprehended the suspects in the Rohini-3, Ramnagar area on Friday.
Authorities seized 75 grams and 410 milligrams of a substance suspected to be brown sugar, a motorcycle, and three mobile phones from the suspects. The arrested individuals have been identified as Anarjit Yadav of Rohini-3, Ashish Yadav of Rohini-3, and Sahadev Harijan of Rohini-1.
The suspects were presented before the district court on Sunday, and a 7-day extension has been granted for further investigation.
