Kathmandu, Nepal – The Nepal U-17 football team is set to kick off their campaign in the upcoming SAFF U-17 Championship 2024 in Bhutan. Nepal will face Pakistan in their inaugural match on September 21, as per the tournament schedule released by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF).
Nepal is grouped with Bhutan, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in Group B. In Group A, defending champions India will compete against Bangladesh and Maldives.
The tournament will feature all seven South Asian nations, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The final match is scheduled for September 30.
Nepal aims to improve on their performance from last year’s SAFF U-17 Championship, where they were eliminated from the group stage.
