Madhesh Province Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav is set to undergo a vote of confidence this Tuesday. The provincial assembly has scheduled a meeting at 1 PM for this purpose, confirmed by Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal.
This decision follows the withdrawal of support by the Nepali Congress due to shifts in federal politics, necessitating Yadav to reaffirm his mandate.
This marks the fourth vote of confidence Yadav has faced within his 15-month period in office. To remain in power, he must garner the backing of at least 54 out of the 107 members in the provincial assembly.
