Saurya Airlines Plane Crashes

The CRJ 7-9NAME aircraft of Saurya Airlines left the runway of Tribhuvan Airport at 11:11 am on Wednesday morning while going to Pokhara for a full test after the repair of the ship, ‘C-Check’.

According to Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, the last communication with the tower of this ship was ‘clear for take-off’. Which is the order given by the air traffic controller to the pilot to fly the plane. The aircraft took off from runway 02 (towards Koteshwor). That is, the ship flew. In 20 to 22 seconds, the ship began to rock and roll and suddenly turned to the right and landed on the ground.

According to Gyanendra Bhul, information officer of the authority, no information about any problem with the aircraft was received from the captain during the last ATC communication with the ship.

“It seems that the plane lost control in 20 to 22 seconds after leaving the runway,” he said.

The authority has confirmed that 18 people died out of a total of 19 people on board, including two captains. Captain Manish Ratna Shakya was injured in this accident. He is being treated at KMC Hospital.

The weather was clear at the time of the accident. No other external cause was found to have obstructed the ship. Due to which the accident has become more mysterious.

Currently, various construction works are going on around Tribhuvan Airport. Construction materials can be seen around the shipwreck site. Because of this, the ship was wrecked and could not reach the settlement. It was found that the ship was prevented from overturning by those construction materials.

‘It seems that the ship has slipped and stopped from going to the settlement,’ Bhul says, ‘On the one hand, the ship has fallen into a hole, on the other hand, the construction materials also seem to have stopped the ship.’ It has been found that more damage has been avoided.

On board this ship were the employees including the top management of Solar Airlines. The ship flew to Pokhara for C-Check, which is considered a regular maintenance and inspection. According to Pokhara Airport, permission was obtained to keep the ship in the hangar there for one month for repairs.

Taking the ship to C-Check does not mean that it is not airworthy and has been flown. Sea-check is not a repair done when the ship is damaged. Because there may be some invisible weaknesses in the ship, the ship is regularly tested even in airworthy condition. The ship was being taken to Pokhara for extensive tests in this connection. Top officials of Solar Airlines were also involved in the accident.

The police got the information only 4 minutes after the plane went down

According to the Nepal Police, the police received information about the accident at 11:15.

In other words, the captain was rescued only 23 minutes after the accident. The fire was brought under control at 11:40. At 11:50 p.m., it was confirmed that 19 people, including two crew members, were traveling.
