Itahari Sub-metropolitan City has announced that schools will be closed for two days due to the recent increase in temperatures. The closures will take place on May 30th and 31st.
According to city head Hem karna Paudel, the decision to close schools was made due to the difficulties students are facing in the heat. The lack of rain in the Madhesh and Terai regions over the past few days has contributed to the rising temperatures.
This is not typical for the end of May, and the extra days off are meant to provide relief to students.
