Authorities have launched a search operation in the Sunkoshi River for three children who went missing on Sunday, in the Triyuga Municipality-14 Dhaplang area of Udayapur, located in Nepal’s Koshi Province. The children were reportedly playing Holi, a traditional festival, and bathing in the river when they disappeared.
Divers from the Armed Police Force have been deployed to the area to search. After an initial unsuccessful search, a specialized diving team of 9 divers was dispatched from the 1 Baraha Bahini headquarters in Sunsari. The team is led by Armed Police Inspector Umesh Kafle.
