SEE Exams Kick Off Nationwide for Over 500,000 Students

The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) commenced today (Thursday) across Nepal, with 504,414 students from 10,806 schools participating in the exams scheduled to run through April 9th.

“We have a balanced number of female and male participants,” stated SEE Exam Controller Nandalal Poudel. Of the total examinees, 250,772 are female, and 253,627 are male. The exams also mark a milestone with 15 sexual and gender minority students taking part.

The Board has established 2,064 exam centers nationwide. Kathmandu district holds the most centers at 127 and Manang and Mustang districts hold the least with one each.

Necessary preparations have been completed, with over 500,000 question papers and answer sheets distributed to all 77 districts. Notably, one exam center has been established in Japan for 23 Nepali students taking the SEE.

A total of 77,485 people will be directly involved in ensuring the smooth conduct of the exams.
