Shalikram Jamkattel, Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, has successfully retained his position after receiving a vote of confidence. He secured the exact 56 votes required to maintain his leadership.
Chief Minister Jamkattel garnered support from the UML, CPN-S, Hamro Nepal Party, and his own Maoist Center party. In opposition, only the Nepali Congress voted against him. Members of the RPP and Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party chose to remain neutral. One HANEPA parliamentarian was absent during the voting process.
This marks the third successful vote of confidence for Chief Minister Jamkattel, who previously faced challenges after his former coalition partner, the Nepali Congress, withdrew support. His previous votes of confidence took place on January 12 and March 23 of last year.
