Renowned vocalist Rajesh Payal Rai has been freed from detention following his apprehension in Kathmandu late last night.
Authorities disclosed that Rai, along with two companions, was detained on grounds of creating disturbances and consuming alcoholic beverages.
The apprehension occurred in the vicinity of Madan Bhandari College in Kathmandu, prompted by complaints from nearby residents concerning noise and disturbances.
Upon his release, Rai has purportedly committed to abstaining from such conduct in the future, as conveyed by law enforcement officials.
