A significant portion of the inner road leading to Imadol, via Naya Pul-Bojepokhari, in Mahalaxmi Municipality-3, has collapsed, causing a complete traffic disruption. The road has developed a three-meter gap in front of Baklogau Chowk.
The cause of the road collapse remains unknown at this time. Authorities are currently assessing the situation and working to reopen the road as soon as possible.
This incident comes on the heels of a similar road collapse in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, on August 8, which is expected to take three months to repair.
The frequent occurrence of road collapses has raised concerns about the infrastructure’s resilience and the need for improved maintenance and monitoring.
