Sonic 3 only arrived in movie theaters a few days ago, but a next adventure of the hedgehog is already confirmed in theaters for 2027. In a recent interview, the writers of the trilogy talked about what they want for the hero’s next journey and it seems that They want to get it off the planet.
‘We almost put a scene in Sonic 2 but we didn’t have room for it. We definitely know that there is more world and more fantastical areas that we want to see and we assume that audiences want it too. For the third the story was very military and inherently earthling. But maybe in the future we can go out to more fantastic places.’ said writers Josh Miller and Pat Casey.
Throughout all his video games the hedgehog has visited different planets and realities outside of Earth. Now with this statement from the writers, fans of the hedgehog will probably start thinking about what could be the next objective of Sega’s mascot in the movies.
