Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) booked their IPL 2024 final berth with a convincing 36-run win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Qualifier 2. SRH posted a competitive 175 despite early struggles, with Klaasen’s 53 anchoring the innings.
RR’s chase started well with Jaiswal’s 42, but SRH’s spin duo of Shahbaz Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma (combined 5/47) choked the chase. RR fell short at 139 as disciplined bowling and sharp fielding from SRH sealed a comprehensive victory.
SRH will now face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a rematch for the IPL 2024 title on Sunday in Chennai.
