SSLC Exams Set for March 25 to April 6; Officials Emphasize Smooth Operations and Strict Rules

The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations will be conducted across 51 examination centers in the district from March 25 to April 6. During a preparatory meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mamata G S stressed the importance of ensuring discipline, coordination, and a smooth examination process.

  • A total of 15,327 students will appear for the exams, including 13,454 new students, 233 private candidates, 578 private repeaters, and 65 regular repeaters.
  • The gender breakdown of candidates is 7,471 boys and 7,860 girls.

Examination Centers and Security

  • Exams will be held in 51 centers distributed across Udupi, Brahmavar, Karkala, Byndoor and Kundapur.
  • CCTV cameras are mandatory in all examination centers.
  • 652 invigilators, 51 local awareness squad officers, and 51 mobile squad officers have been appointed.

Prohibited Items and Regulations

  • Students are strictly prohibited from bringing smartwatches or mobile phones into examination centers.
  • All examination rooms must have wall clocks installed.
  • Prohibitory orders will be in place within a 100-meter radius of examination centers.
  • Xerox shops near examination centers will remain closed during the exam period.

Essential Facilities

  • Students must have access to basic facilities like drinking water and washrooms.
  • Bus services will be arranged to facilitate transportation for rural students to city areas.
