Calling all fans of the 2018 horror-comedy smash hit “Stree”! Get ready to be scared (and laugh) all over again! Maddock Films has just released the chilling teaser trailer for the highly anticipated sequel, “Stree 2.”
The original film, starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, took the box office by storm. Audiences couldn’t get enough of the hilarious scares, and fans have been clamoring for a follow-up ever since.
The “Stree 2” teaser, clocking in at around a minute, is packed with suspense and terror. We see a glimpse of the familiar faces from the first film – Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana – all looking suitably spooked.
The teaser hints that the terrifying entity known simply as “Stree” is back and wreaking havoc in the town of Chanderi once more.
Sharing the teaser on his Instagram page, Rajkummar Rao upped the excitement factor with the caption, “”Iss baar Chanderi mein azaadi ke din hoga aatank!”” (“This time Chanderi will witness terror on Independence Day!”)
Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, “Stree 2” promises to be another thrilling ride. Mark your calendars – the film hits theaters on August 15th, 2024!
