Nepali ultra runner Sunmaya Budha achieved a remarkable third-place finish in Spain’s challenging Transvulcania Ultra Marathon.
Conquering the grueling 72-kilometer course on the volcanic island of La Palma, Budha showcased her exceptional endurance, completing the race in 8 hours, 20 minutes, and 31 seconds. She trailed the first-place finisher by only 18 minutes and the second-place finisher by a mere 4 minutes.
The Transvulcania Ultra Marathon is renowned as one of the toughest races globally, solidifying Budha’s accomplishment as a testament to her extraordinary athleticism and determination.
