A teacher has been arrested after allegedly throwing acid on a female student who rejected his Friendship proposal. The attack occurred in the Nipa Chowrangi area of Karachi.
The teacher, identified as Iftikhar, reportedly asked the student, who was attending an IT coaching center, to be his friend. When she refused and spoke harshly to him, the student and her maternal uncle went to the center’s administration to file a complaint.
In retaliation, the teacher threw acid at the student, causing severe injuries. She was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case against the teacher and an investigation is underway.
