Police have taken a 58-year-old educator into custody following accusations of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old pupil at a school in Halesi Tuwachung municipality. The arrest occurred on Saturday after community members alerted authorities upon discovering the student was pregnant.
The District Police Office in Khotang is handling the case. DSP Purushottam Khadka stated that a thorough investigation into the allegations against the detained teacher will commence on Sunday.
