Heavy rain caused a deadly flash flood near Jajarkot Kushe rural municipality-1 Tarechaur, Nepal. Indra Bahadur Rokaya, a teacher at Mal Takura Secondary School in Kushe Rural Municipality-9, was tragically swept away by the flood while fishing on Saturday night and died around 11 pm.
Six others were also caught in the flood while fishing and sustained injuries. They were identified as Rajendra Bahadur Shahi, Khim Bahadur Shahi, Prithvi Bahadur Shahi, Jiban Jaisi, Gobinda Rawat, and Dipendra Bahadur of Kushe-1 Tare Vhaur. Thankfully, according to Kushe rural municipality’s vice president, Devika Singh, all the injured were successfully rescued.
