Bajhang: Communication services have been severely impacted in Khaptad Chhanna Rural Municipality of Bajhang district following the vandalism of a Nepal Telecom tower.
On October 9, an unidentified group damaged electrical equipment, including batteries, wires, and solar panels, at the tower located in Khatriwada Majhigaon. As a result, residents of the rural municipality and surrounding areas have been deprived of mobile, telephone, and internet connectivity.
The Bajhang District Police Office has launched an investigation into the incident but has yet to identify the perpetrators. Inspector Lokendra Singh Thagunna, the district’s information officer, confirmed that the police are actively pursuing leads and have initiated a search operation.
Despite attempts to reach out to Nepal Telecom employees in Bajhang, no immediate comments were available regarding the incident or the timeline for restoring services. The disruption in communication has caused significant inconvenience to residents and businesses in the affected region.
