The Houston Texans defeated the Miami Dolphins this Sunday and the champion Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cleveland Browns in week 15 of the 2024 NFL season.
With two touchdown passes from CJ Stroud, the Texans beat the Miami Dolphins 20-12, a victory with which they remain at the top of the South division of the American Conference (AFC), a position that brings them closer to the playoffs. For Miami, the defeat left them with a 6-8 record in step two of the AFC East, with minimal chances of reaching the postseason.
Chiefs beat the Browns 7-21 and are emerging as number one in the AFC, which they dominate with 13 wins and one loss. Browns, already eliminated, remain at the bottom of the AL North standings with a balance of 3 wins and 11 losses. Patrick Mahomes shined with two touchdown passes.
In New York, the Baltimore Ravens beat the Giants 14-35 with an outstanding performance by Lamar Jackson, who hit five touchdown passes. The Ravens are in the fight for first place in the AFC North division, where they are second at 9-5. Giants were confirmed as the worst team among the 16 in the National Conference (NFC) with a 2-12 record.
In other games, the Dallas Cowboys triumphed 14-30 over the Carolina Panthers and maintained a remote chance of qualifying. Dallas is 6-8. Panthers are out at 3-11.
The Washington Commanders dramatically beat the New Orleans Saints 19-20, the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Tennessee Titans 27-37 and the New York Jets beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 25-32.
Week 13 started last Thursday with the Los Angeles Rams’ 6-12 victory over the San Francisco 49ers and will conclude this Monday with two Vikings-Bears and Raiders-Falcons games.
