Tragedy has struck in the Tripurasundari Municipality-4 of Dolpa, where three children who were caught in a fire in the Su Community Forest have, sadly, passed away.

Bibash Budha (12), Samant Budha (13), and Sulash Budha (10) were initially injured while collecting mushrooms in a forest near their village. Sulash Budha died while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital in Dolpa last Friday. Bibash and Samant Budha were airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment but tragically succumbed to their injuries on Saturday.

The entire village is in mourning following this devastating loss, according to Ranjit Budha, ward president of Tripurasundari-4.

Bir Bahadur Shahi, a member of the Karnali State Assembly, confirmed that a helicopter rescue was deployed, incurring a cost of 16 lakh 50 thousand rupees. He stated that efforts are underway to coordinate with the Tripurasundari Municipality and Karnali Provincial Government to cover these expenses.

This incident follows another recent tragedy in Dolpa, where three soldiers lost their lives while fighting a fire in the Mashta Community Forest last Tuesday.
