Sindhuli: A tragic jeep accident in Sindhuli District has claimed the lives of three people and injured eleven others. The incident occurred on Thursday morning near Chiyabari in Kamalamai Municipality.
According to District Police Office Sindhuli, the deceased have been identified as Prithvi Bahadur Bhujel (42), Uday Bahadur Masrangi (45), and Pawan Masrangi (35), all residents of Golanjor Rural Municipality-6, Nakajoli. They succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at District Hospital Sindhuli.
The ill-fated jeep, bearing registration number Ba 20 Cha 8283, was en route from Golanjor to Sindhuli when the accident happened. Among the injured, the condition of the jeep driver, 32-year-old Tikajung Rai, is reported to be critical. He, along with three others, has been referred to Dhulikhel Hospital in Kavre for advanced medical care.
The remaining injured are currently receiving treatment at District Hospital Sindhuli.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
