Sindhupalchok Bus Accident

Three people have been identified after tragically losing their lives in a bus accident that occurred in the Piskar-5 Dharawato area of Sindhupalchok. The deceased include Man Bahadur Thami, Shiva Shrestha, and Dipendra Thami, all from Bhimeshwor Municipality-1 in Dolakha.

The accident involved a Rolwaling Transport bus (Ba 4 Kha 5616) carrying passengers from Dolakha. It crashed in the Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-5 Dharawati area at approximately 7 am today. Three individuals died at the scene of the accident.

District Police Office Deputy Superintendent of Police Niranjan Bhattarai confirmed that rescue operations were undertaken, and injured passengers were taken to Sindhu Sadabahar Hospital in Chautara for treatment.

A total of 52 people were injured in the accident. One of the injured passengers reported that they had departed Dolakha at 3:30 am to attend a wedding. She believes the accident occurred due to a washed-out road and stated that the bus driver was not intoxicated. The bus fell an estimated 100 meters down a slope in the Tripura Sundari-5 Dharawati area.
