Chitwan: A man was injured in a tiger attack near the Narayangadh market area early this morning.
The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Pasupati Shrestha, a resident of Bharatpur. The attack occurred around 5:30 AM near the Narayani River. Shrestha sustained injuries to his face and hands and is currently undergoing treatment at New Medical College, Bharatpur.
Authorities from the District Forest Office and the police have launched a search operation for the tiger, believed to be hiding in nearby reed beds. Efforts are underway to bring in elephants from Chitwan National Park to assist in capturing the animal. The National Nature Conservation Fund has also been requested to provide technical support.
