Kanchanpur: The tiger responsible for the fatal attack on a woman in Kanchanpur has been captured. A joint team from Shuklaphanta National Park and Bardiya National Park successfully apprehended the animal in the sugarcane fields of Dodhara Chandani Municipality-2 on Friday morning.
The tiger is currently being held at the Shuklaphanta National Park office, and authorities are determining the next course of action.
The tragic incident occurred on Thursday when 23-year-old Hira Shah was attacked while cutting grass near her home. Despite immediate efforts by a technical team equipped with elephants, the tiger evaded capture on the first day.
