Nepal is experiencing a mix of partly cloudy and moderate weather conditions today. Light rain with thunderstorms is occurring in some parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while isolated showers are possible in the remaining regions.
The Weather Forecasting Division has predicted continued rainfall throughout the day, with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms likely in all provinces. Heavy rainfall is possible in a few locations in Koshi, Madhes, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The monsoon low-pressure line is currently positioned west of its usual location and north of its regular position in the east. This weather pattern is contributing to the widespread rainfall.
Tonight, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience light to moderate rain with thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall is also possible in one or two places in Koshi and Madhes provinces.
Due to the potential for heavy rain in certain areas, the division has urged the public to be cautious and prepared for potential disasters such as flash floods, landslides, and erosion.
