Nepal’s Department of Water and Weather Forecasting reports monsoon rain across the country. Light to moderate rain is currently affecting parts of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and a few areas in Koshi.

There’s a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some locations across Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Additionally, scattered showers are possible in Madhesh, Karnali, and Far-West provinces. The forecast warns of potentially heavy rain in isolated areas of Gandaki province.
Tonight, the cloudy skies will persist with a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning. This rain is expected to affect parts of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Far-West provinces, with scattered showers possible elsewhere. The department warns of the possibility of heavy rain at one or two locations within Bagmati, Gandaki, and Far-West provinces.
