The Weather Department of Water and Meteorology has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in several parts of the country due to the ongoing monsoon. The monsoon’s influence is currently felt nationwide, with the monsoon trough located south of Sardar.
Currently, light to moderate rain is affecting parts of Gandaki, Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces. The weather is generally cloudy across the country. However, heavy rain has been reported in certain areas of Bagmati and Lumbini.
The department has urged residents of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces to be vigilant as heavy rain is expected in these regions later today. Additionally, heavy rainfall is forecast for parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces tonight.
The weather outlook for the afternoon and night predicts partly to mostly cloudy skies across Nepal.
