The ongoing monsoon season is continuing to affect the country with widespread rainfall, the Water and Weather Forecast Division reported today.
The monsoon low-pressure system remains relatively stationary, bringing cloudy skies and precipitation to most parts of Nepal. Light to moderate rain has been observed in several districts of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with isolated showers in other regions.
The weather department has issued a forecast of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in many areas for the afternoon. Residents of Bagmati and Sudurpaschim provinces have been advised to be cautious as heavy rainfall is expected in some locations.
Conditions are expected to remain unsettled overnight, with cloudy skies and the possibility of light to moderate rain in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The general public is urged to take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their property from the effects of the monsoon rains.
