Nepal is currently under the influence of monsoon air, with the monsoon low pressure line situated south of Average place. As a result, most of the country is experiencing partly to mostly cloudy skies.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported light to moderate rain in several parts of Gandaki Province and isolated areas of Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali Provinces. Heavy rainfall has been observed in some places within Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.
The weather forecast predicts continued partly to mostly cloudy conditions across the nation this afternoon. There is a high likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces, with isolated occurrences in other regions. Additionally, heavy rain is expected in certain areas of Gandaki and Karnali.
Similar weather conditions are anticipated tonight, with the possibility of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Far-Western Provinces. Isolated heavy rainfall is predicted for Lumbini and Far-Western Provinces.
The public is advised to remain cautious due to the potential for heavy rainfall and landslides in vulnerable areas.
