The Department predicts these conditions will persist throughout the afternoon, with skies transitioning from clear to completely cloudy nationwide. The possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning remains high for many regions.
However, the department warns of localized heavy rain later today. While a few areas in Karnali province may experience heavy downpours, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces are at a heightened risk for very heavy rainfall in isolated locations.
These potential downpours raise concerns about flash floods, landslides, and erosion, particularly in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. The Department urges residents in these areas to take necessary precautions to mitigate these risks.
