Nepal continues to experience the influence of the monsoon, with the low-pressure system centered around regular places. While the country has seen partial to general changes in weather, light to moderate rain has primarily affected Bagmati and some parts of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
The afternoon will bring generally cloudy skies nationwide, with the possibility of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in several provinces. With isolated heavy downpours, Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim are expected to experience the heaviest rainfall.
The country will remain cloudy as the night progresses, with widespread light to moderate rain and thunderstorms. However, Koshi, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces are at high risk of heavy to very heavy rainfall, while Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim may also experience isolated heavy showers.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged people to take precautions to prevent landslides, floods, and other monsoon-related hazards.
