The Department of Water and Meteorology’s weather forecast division has announced that monsoon air is currently influencing Nepal’s weather patterns. A monsoon low pressure line is situated near regular places, bringing cloud cover and light to moderate rain to several provinces including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki.
This afternoon, a weather shift is anticipated nationwide. There’s a chance of light to moderate rain with lightning in some areas of Bagmati, Koshi, Madhesh, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces, with scattered rain possible elsewhere.
The Department warns of the possibility of heavy rain in isolated areas of Koshi, Madhesh, and Gandaki provinces. Tonight, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is expected in some locations across these provinces, with a chance of heavy rain, and even very heavy rain in one or two places within the Koshi region.
Given the possibility of heavy downpours, the Department urges everyone to take necessary precautions to avoid the risks of disasters like flash floods, landslides, and soil erosion, particularly in Bagmati, Madhesh, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Koshi provinces.
