Today's Weather in Nepal

The Department of Water and Meteorology has reported that Nepal’s weather is currently influenced by a combination of local air, westerly air, and a low-pressure system stretching from Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh.

While most of the country experiences clear skies, some hilly areas, including Koshi Province, are partly cloudy with isolated light rain, thunder, lightning, and wind.

This afternoon, the Department forecasts partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions for the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. There’s a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of Koshi and Bagmati, as well as a few other scattered areas in the hills.

Separately, the Terai region in Far-West and Lumbini has seen maximum temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius for the past few days. Department of Water and Meteorology warns of the possibility of hot air and heatwave conditions persisting in these areas for a few more days. They advise residents to take necessary precautions.

Tonight, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected over Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with clear skies elsewhere.

Sunrise today was 5:08 AM, and sunset will be at 6:55 PM.
