The Department of Water and Meteorology has announced that monsoon winds are still prevalent across much of Nepal, particularly in the eastern regions. While western winds influence other parts of the country, the monsoon’s grip remains strong in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces.
Today, mountainous areas are expected to experience partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will likely be mostly clear. However, as the day progresses, there’s a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in certain areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
While the monsoon’s influence is easing in some regions, localized showers and thunderstorms remain a possibility, especially in the hilly areas. The department advises residents to stay updated on the latest weather forecasts.
