Western winds influence weather patterns across Nepal, leading to rain and thunderstorms in several regions. The Department of Water and Meteorology’s weather forecast division predicts that the impact of these winds will be most pronounced in Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, and Karnali provinces, with partial influence in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
According to the weather bulletin, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will likely experience partial to moderate showers today. Hilly areas in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces can expect light to moderate rainfall. In the afternoon, the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki will see partly cloudy to mostly clear skies, with a chance of light rain and thunderstorms in some places. Even at night, these regions may see isolated light showers.
The department has also forecast light rain in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces on Monday, October 14th.
