The Department of Water and Meteorology has reported that western and local winds currently impact the country’s weather patterns.
As of today, several regions have experienced varying degrees of cloudiness. Parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces have seen partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. At the same time, the rest of the country has enjoyed partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions. Additionally, light rain has been observed in a few locations within Koshi and Bagmati Provinces.
Looking ahead, the afternoon will likely bring partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies in the hilly areas of Nepal, while the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to mostly clear weather. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in isolated hilly regions.
For the evening, hilly areas in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces will likely remain partly cloudy to mostly clear. However, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few of these hilly areas.
