Biratchowk, Nepal – Monsoon rains are currently affecting various regions of Nepal. The monsoon low-pressure line is situated south of the regular place.
Today, the country is experiencing partly to generally cloudy skies. Several areas in Bagmati and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few locations in Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, have received light to moderate rainfall.
The afternoon will likely see partly to mostly cloudy conditions nationwide. There is a chance of light to moderate rain in some parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with isolated showers in other regions.
The Weather Forecast Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in one or two places within Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in certain areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while isolated showers are anticipated in other regions. Additionally, there is a risk of heavy rain in one or two places within the Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. In particular, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces could experience very heavy rainfall in one or two locations.
