A monsoon low-pressure line is currently positioned north of most parts of Nepal. The country is experiencing the combined influence of this system and monsoon air, particularly in the western regions.
Partial to general cloud cover is expected across Nepal today. Light to moderate rain is predicted in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
There’s a high likelihood of thunderstorms and light to moderate rain in several regions, including Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim. Additionally, strong winds are possible in the Terai areas of Koshi and Madhesh provinces.
For tonight, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, while the rest of Nepal may experience partly cloudy to mainly clear conditions. There’s a chance of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in some areas of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and other regions.
