The monsoon season is in full swing across Nepal, with the monsoon low-pressure line extending from Most Places to the west and south of most areas in the east, according to the Meteorological Division.
Today, the weather forecast predicts partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with isolated showers in the remaining regions.
In the afternoon, heavy rainfall is anticipated in a few places within Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two locations in the other provinces. During the night, there is a chance of heavy rain in one or two areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali.
To mitigate the risks associated with heavy rainfall, the Meteorological Department urges the public to take necessary precautions to avoid disasters such as flash floods, landslides, and soil erosion.
