DOLAKHA, Nepal – A tragic tractor accident in Dolakha district has resulted in one death and four injuries. The incident occurred this morning around 10 o’clock when a tractor (No. Lu 3 Ta 1714) traveling from Putisyang in Kalinchowk rural municipality 2 towards Singati lost control.
The deceased has been identified as Sanchimaya Thami, a 36-year-old resident of Kalinchowk 2. Police Inspector Jiwan Shrestha of the District Police Office Dolakha confirmed she died on the spot after being struck by the tractor.
Four others were injured in the accident: Asmita Thami (17), Bal Kumari Thami (30), Nisha Dhami (30), and a 3-year-old girl, Tuki Thami. Bal Kumari’s condition is reported as serious, while the others sustained moderate injuries.
The 22-year-old tractor driver, Abram Thami, a resident of Gaurishankar rural municipality 5, has been taken into police custody.
