The Ditible
The five victims who tragically perished in a taxi accident this morning, where the vehicle plunged into the Trishuli River, have been identified by authorities. The accident occurred around 7:15 AM near Simaldhara in Ichchha Kamana Rural Municipality-5, along the Prithvi Highway.
The taxi (Ba 2 Ja 4196) was traveling from Kathmandu towards Gorkha when it veered off the road and plummeted approximately 80 meters into the river.
Confirmed Deceased:
- Hari Maya Rokaya (41)
- Junkiri Rokaya (70)
- Anjana Rokaya (28)
- Aagaman Nagarkoti (9)
- Arjun Shirmal (35, taxi driver)
All the deceased were residents of Gorkha Municipality-7.
Missing Individual:
One passenger, Diwas Rokata (18), also from Gorkha Municipality-7, remains unaccounted for. Search and rescue efforts are likely underway.
