Two individuals have been arrested by the Armed Police Force in Kailali for allegedly extorting money from a traveler at the Gauriphanta border.
The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Manoj Bahedi and 31-year-old Karan Bohra, both auto-rickshaw drivers from Dhangadhi, were apprehended on Friday.
The duo is accused of demanding and receiving a sum of Rs. 2,000 (Indian Rupees) from a 27-year-old resident, Lokendra Ojha, who had recently crossed the border from India.
The arrested individuals have been handed over to the District Police Office, Kailali, for further legal proceedings.
